Australia’s Best Playground Award

The Indooroopilly Montessori Children’s House has been nominated for Australia’s Best Playground Award by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. 

Working alongside Delve Consulting, Consulting Coordination endeavoured to assist in creating a natural play area that complimented the space available. With a 45 degree embankment, and the desire to keep the existing natural elements in place, a layered play space was created that consisted of natural climbing areas, trails, gardens, slopes, steps, and small scaled spaces. The aim was to create a fun play space containing the perfect balance of safety and risk. In order to have an educational space for children to play and learn in, there must be elements of risk in order for the children to tackle decision making, problem solving and entertain their constantly developing minds. The team at Consulting Coordination would like to congratulate Delve Consulting on their nomination. As an organisation we endeavour to encourage clients to create natural play spaces in an effort to promote sustainable play and keep our kids close to nature.
